Aerial archaeology

Aerial surveys of the region were recorded in 1953, 1978. 1986, 1989, 1995 and 1997, with many images available online via CANMORE.  The more recent photography has captured traces of Neolithic to mediaeval archaeology in scorch-marked fields during occasional dry summers.
